Guest Presenters:

Two of our guest presenters who are psychiatrists have had superlative success helping individuals recover from a Bipolar Disorder diagnosis. Both look at the patient as a whole.  The goal of their therapies is to restore the client to full health.  This may include helping a person withdraw from unnecessary medications. Both Dr. Gurevich and Dr. Lee use individualized energetic testing as part of their diagnostic procedures and to discern what remedies and procedures each patient needs.  Also, each one uses forms of energetic balancing and energetically-based therapies.

Michael Gurevich

Michael Gurevich, MD

Michael Gurevich, MD maintains a private clinic on Long Island, NY.  In his whole systems approach, he pays particular attention to digestive issues, food sensitivities, and life style choices, following the approach of German Biological Medicine.

He also uses Systemic Family Constellation, a kind of personal therapy to resolve conflicts with others.  His clients also benefit through his use of neural therapy, and the expertise of the acupuncturist and naturopathic physician with whom he shares his office.

Alice Lee

Alice Lee, MD

Alice Lee, MD maintains a private practice near Washington, DC.  She works with detoxification, diet, and nutritional support as well as energy work and therapies for emotional release and subtle energy healing.  Like Dr. Gurevich, she is a very unusual psychiatrist as she was trained in conventional psychiatry but has added knowledge of other types of therapies and thus has a number of resources which she draws from.

Alesandra Rain

Alesandra Rain

Alesandra Rain is an author and prescription drug expert for Fox News Channel and ABC who frequently does radio, television interviews and lectures worldwide. She suffered many years with prescription drugs to help her with chronic pain and has been pain free and drug free for over 11 years. Alesandra was able to transform her anguish into a mission that has helped people worldwide to regain their health and freedom.

Krista MacKinnon

Allison Leigh and Krista Mackinnon:

Two guest presenters with lived experience were formerly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. They have become leaders in the field of supporting others with mental disturbances to reach a full and satisfying life of well-being. When he was released from the psych ward Allison Leigh was told he should avoid stress, not marry, and get an easy-going job.  He is now married with 6 children, 9 successful businesses, and is creating a unique hospital for mental healthcare and a teaching facility about integrative therapies in the UK. It opened in Spring, 2016! What an inspiration!  Krista Mackinnon [photo on left] talks about her path of recovery and the teaching she is now able to do to help families coping with mental health issues.

What Others Are Saying About IMHU Courses:

“This course is valuable for its intelligent and well-documented critique of some widely accepted practices of mental health care, especially the pervasive use of pharmaceuticals. As alternatives, it introduces a wide range of options, some traditional and some very innovative, and does this skillfully, not omitting the healing power of humor!”—Bradan Beech

“Thank you so much for the opportunity of viewing the vast information you have made available in this course… I would like to commend you on the variety and scope of material for the professional, as well as the general public… It became apparent early on that this course was formed with a tremendous amount of forethought and desire to bring forth a comprehensive understanding of our mental health system that is not readily available elsewhere.” —Linda Willerton

“You are really a bridge to a new way.”—Sally Henderson, Georgia

“I’ve had the great good fortune of working with some extremely gifted coaches in various aspects of my life, and I would place Emma Bragdon in the rare and elite category of teachers who thoroughly understand the esoteric complexities of their field, and are also able to share and explain their knowledge in grounded, concise and eloquent terms.”—Markus Koch, 6 yrs. in the NFL (National Football League), twice a Superbowl champion, now a holistic healthcare provider; Michigan
