Peer Support

I describe my spiritual journey as having followed a yogic path to awaken beyond life and having followed a Sufi path to awaken within life.

In 1976, after several months of studying meditation practices as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda through the Self Realization Fellowship, I experienced a kundalini yoga induced complete and direct kundalini awakening. I was neither afraid nor confused by this event. I knew that I had been united with the divine and that my consciousness was irrevocably transformed.

Several years later, in 1980, I was introduced to the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, founder of The Sufi Order in the West. His message of love, harmony, and beauty resonated deeply within me. A year later, I accepted initiation by Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, the son and successor of Hazrat Inayat Khan, into the order. Since that time, I have been engaged in the Sufi practices of inner transformation, making the Divine a reality in my life.

I had the calling to help people struggling with spiritual growth and embodiment many years ago. It was not until I became involved with the Kundalini Collective that I realized that I could assist others in their struggles to move beyond their difficulties resulting from energetic awakenings. For the past two years, I have been effective as a host and facilitator of online peer support group meetings organized by the Kundalini Collective.
