Jennifer "Katma" Clemente

My understanding of spiritualemergence and spiritual emergency comes from lived experience and from years ofaccompanying others through non-ordinary states. I supported my mother throughher lifelong Kundalini awakening and her experiences of contact with the astralrealm, as well as her end of life transformation. 

I also went through my ownspiritual emergency, and the emergence that followed, while working as aforeign correspondent covering the Balkan wars in the 1990s. These experiencestaught me that spiritually transformative processes can be deeply meaningfuland life-changing, and that they can also bring confusion, fear, isolation, andserious disruption to a person’s life.

My approach draws on dreamwork andon my ongoing study of process-oriented psychology and the somatic,mindfulness-based principles of Hakomi. Together, these help me listen for themeaning within an experience while staying attentive to the person’s body,emotional state, current circumstances, and need for grounding or further care.

I am especially interested insupporting people navigating awakening, near-death experiences, psychicopening, channeling, altered states, lucid dreaming, astral travel, experiencesof communication with those who have died, and the broader integration ofspiritually transformative experiences. I offer compassionate listening,careful discernment, practical grounding, and respect for each person’s ownunderstanding of what is happening to them.

As a practicing death doula,hospice chaplain, and dreamwork guide, I have supported dozens of people ingroup and individual settings. This work has included helping people exploreunusual experiences, build stabilizing practices, communicate with loved ones,and bring spiritually significant experiences into everyday life. I aim to be acalm, nonjudgmental presence, and I stay alert to moments when clinical,medical, crisis, or community-based support may also be needed.

I do not provide psychotherapy,counseling, or International Coach Federation-credentialed coaching. I mayoffer an initial, non-clinical conversation to help someone clarify the kind ofsupport they are looking for and, where appropriate, refer them to a qualifiedpractitioner in my professional network. This service is not a substitute formental-health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
