Mission

IMHU contributes to improving mental healthcare through online and live educational presentations and certifications for wellness seekers and healthcare providers. We believe spirituality has a profound impact on mental health and care needs to cover body-mind and spirit as well as community. We emphasize building more knowledge and skills regarding the spiritual aspects of mental healthcare.

Key Initiatives

  • Advance the paradigm of ‘integrative mental healthcare’ via professional-level educational courses.
    • Supporting healthcare providers and students to expand their knowledge and competencies in a bio-psycho-social and spiritual paradigm.
    • Employing a cautious approach to psychiatric medication.
    • Being trauma-informed in both diagnosis and treatment.
    • Assisting professional providers to earn CE credits. 
  • Offer accessible, free, effective resources to people with lived-experience and their loved ones about managing phenomena that might lead to extreme states of consciousness.
  • To support those challenged by spiritually-transformative experiences via support groups and 1:1 coaching and counseling.
  • To train and certify more Spiritual Emergence Coaches® and grow our International Directory of 100+ Spiritual Emergence Coaches® supporting those awakenging around the world.
    • Extend that training toward most current knowledge about helping integrate challenging psychedelic and plant medicine experiences.

Non-profit Status

Integrative Mental Health University (IMHU) is a project of the Foundation for Energy Therapies, Inc. (FET), a not for profit, 501c3 company dedicated to education and research. FET was founded in 2008.  IMHU was founded in 2013.
