Karma and karmic influences from the past can powerfully impact the present. They can attract difficulties or complicate issues between people.
Pavamana Suktam is a very powerful chant from the Vedas that invokes the energy or tattva that purifies the space and environment. These mantras remove negative influences, vastu dosha (bad luck or negative energy) and black magic, and they purify the place or surroundings. The mantras are chanted with clear pronunciation in the proper Vedic intonation, and at a slow speed which makes it ideal for meditation. You can just close their eyes, relax your mind, and listen to the mantras – this purifies the mind, and meditation happens effortlessly.
This chant is part of the album Suktanjali, by Swami Purnachaitanya (above) . Swami Purnachaitanya is a disciple of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and is originally from The Netherlands. He is an expert on Yoga, Meditation, Mantras, Ayurveda and Vedic Wisdom. He is a Senior Faculty and Director of Programs of The Art of Living.
Some people can get quite lost and distressed when experiencing the effects of negative karma from this or (if you believe in it) from past life times. There are a number of ways to clear negative karma. Meditation, prayer, chanting are three ways–and so is helping others in need of your help without thought of personal gain. Learning about the process of spiritual awakening can be very helpful to give the mind a map of the process and to be more deliberate in clearing negative karma from the past.
