I have a life-long interest in spiritual experiences and have spent much time amongst religious, spiritual, and psychic groups, including taking part in a spirit rescue circle, ghost hunts, and non-mainstream Christian and esoteric groups. Whilst I have had a few minor spiritual experiences myself, I have never had a spiritual crisis/emergency.

I am now a qualified hypno-psychotherapist with a specialism in spiritual crisis/emergency. I have co-facilitated peer-support groups for the Spiritual Crisis Network (SCN) in the UK and for IMHU in the US.  Although, due to my workload, I am currently unable to take on clients for regular long-term therapy sessions, I am available for ad-hoc one-off chats about spiritual crisis.

I am currently undertaking PhD research into effective interventions for spiritual crisis via Canterbury Christ Church University, supported by the Professional Development Foundation and the Alef Trust. I am also a co-Director of the Spritual Crisis Network, sit on the Committee of the Transpersonal Psychology Section of the British Psychological Society, and am a Trustee of the Alister Hardy Trust, which supports academic research into spiritual and religious experience. I also run a monthly discussion group for anyone interested in the academic research into spiritual crisis/emergency.

If you would like to chat about any of these things, please feel free to get in touch.
