The Greater Good, a feature length professional film, winner of 12 film awards, takes a balanced view of the USA’s vaccination program. It is not overly emotional against-vaccines or pro-vaccines. It is right in the middle: asking for adequate scientific evaluation and not settling for less.
This is only socially just in a modern world that knows how to tell the difference between good science from bad.
The Greater Good is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to make informed decisions about vaccinations to benefit their children. It also encourages dialogue on the question: “What is reasonable when it comes to freedom of choice in health management?”
A disturbing fact is that the vaccination program in place for our children has been inadequately researched, highly politicized and energetically promoted. Promotion of vaccines has taken our kids by storm on TV so that many of them believe they need vaccines. Unfortunately, the scientific research necessary to give evidence for the real safety of vaccines has not yet been done.
In fact, this film interviews scientists and pediatricians. They reflect on the evidence related to reduction of diseases after vaccines were introduced. They also tell heart-wrenching stories of children who were normal and then became severely debilitated or died after being vaccinated. Viewers hear about animal studies that show the neurological damage that can come as a result of being vaccinated. Clearly there is a need for more rigorous research to protect the wellbeing of those who may be harmed by the “normal” vaccine schedule.
Watch The Greater Good and you will see that there are balanced people of good will persevering at a higher altitude above the din of the polarizing debate. Vaccines are not all good and not all bad. It’s high time we are simply reasonable and can look at the facts through the lens of good science and common sense. This film is a giant step in that direction.
